West Memorial Day Scout Notes: Day 1





Kanon Faseler (2026, Scottsdale, Ariz.) showcased legit two-way ability with a big day at the plate and solid performance on the mound. Offensively, a simple swing produces loud contact often. The barrel gets on plane early and gets through the zone with good bat speed. A strong, lean frame helps produce advanced power to the pull side. Kaseler continues to show improvement with the approach at the plate. The frame and swing make him a very intriguing bat to keep an eye on. On the mound, the left-hander showed the ability to miss bats often using a quality two-pitch mix. The fastball got up to 79 mph with good life through the zone. It showed the ability to get whiffs when evaluated in the zone. The heater was paired with a curveball at 60-62 mph with slurve action. A fair amount of bite on the offering, along with the velocity difference, made it tough for hitters to barrel. The arm speed and ability to throw strikes gives Faseler legit two-way potential.
