Rookie Shepard (2026, North Las Vegas, Nev.), the 14u Major Alex Gordon Classic MVP, collected a tournament-high 12 hits and scored a tournament-high 12 runs. He’s a dynamically talented player that played a polished shortstop while showing smooth footwork, clean glove actions and a strong, accurate throwing arm in the field. At the plate he showed strike zone awareness, plate discipline and advanced pitch selection skills. The swing from the left side is smooth, can cover the whole strike zone and features some of the quickest hands you’ll see for a player his age. Collected four extra-base hits while using the entire field to drive the baseball. This is a special player now and will continue to be for years to come. Committed to the University of Miami.
