Cole Stokes, RHP, Class of 2023
Commitment: Oregon

This commitment is a couple weeks old but an important one to highlight as Oregon lands one of the better arms on the West Coast in physical and projectable right-hander Cole Stokes. The profile is a big one as he already stands at an imposing 6-foot-4, 200 pounds but there’s real room to add strength and continue to tick up velocity. He’ll already work comfortably into the low-90s, peaking at 93 mph this year, with true downhill life through the zone and the velocity ceiling is a big one. It’s a clean delivery, especially given the size, and when you add in the upper-70s slider and some feel for a changeup, you’ve got a real three-pitch mix that gives him high-end starter’s upside if everything clicks. This is a deep and talented class alike and Stokes fits right into a spot among some of the best in this recruiting class.
