WWBA World Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

Brayden Smith (2022, Omaha, Neb.) plays the game the way it was meant to be played and sets the tone for the solid Mid South Prospects-Platinum. Batting leadoff, the uncommitted utility player was patrolling center field and looked proficient in his reads and angles. He is a solidly-built 6-foot and 170 pounds and moves with a smoothness and strength that allows you to believe he could handle most any spot on the field. Batting from the left side, he is an offensive spark plug as well. He starts open, loads his hands back and slightly below his shoulders and uses his hands to get on plane with good length through contact. He stays in the middle of the field and keeps the ball on line. Going 1-for-2 with a run scored and 3 RBI today, Smith could be getting hot right as his team heads to the championship round.
