WWBA Freshman World Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3





The Original Florida Pokers won their second game of the day over Richmond Braves 15U National. Emmanuel “Manny” Lantigua (2025, Boca Raton, Fla.) had himself a loud start to the morning, as he came out of the gate pumping 87 mph. The lean and athletic right-hander would sit in the low- to mid-80s for most of the contest, and the fastball was quite overpowering, as he accumulated six strikeouts in his three innings pitched. His only walk was issued to the first batter of the game, and he settled in after that, allowing just two hits in total. Lantigua is tied for the second highest velocity we have seen so far at the Freshman Worlds, and his age makes this feat all the more impressive. He is very young for his grade, as he just turned 14 this month. He was a 13U Select Festival participant in 2021, and he will have quite a strong resume when it comes to choosing players for the 14U Select Fest next year. The arm speed is electric, and he generated double-digit swings and misses with the fastball in the first inning alone. Lantigua proved today why he is the 13th ranked player in the nation, and his ceiling is sky high.
