Fall National Champ. Scout Notes: Day 1


Nathan Lee (2022, Murrieta, Calif.) came in during the third inning and went right after hitters from his athletic delivery and live fastball. The fastball (87-88, T90) had the ability to ride up through the top of the zone or angle to both sides of the plate and induced lots of swings and misses during the four-inning outing. To complement the pitch, Lee broke off a shorter, yet tight 11-5 curveball (70-75 MPH) that was able to change the hitter’s timing and eyesight. Lee struck out nine over four innings giving up one hit and pounding the zone. The frame has length with strength currently, but plenty of space to add more and should improve the already quick arm. Cal State Northridge commit.
