17u World Series Scout Notes: Day 1


Jarrod Hocking (2022, Anaheim, Calif.) showed off the raw power, with back-to-back days of home runs. He has raw power to all fields, hit a home run both on a line to right field and left field. He features a medium frame with strong legs that allow him to transfer his weight well. He has a quick, compact swing with plus bat speed and a slight uppercut hand path. The UCLA commit displayed a confident, reliable glove that has the ability to make the routine plays and the hard ones look easy. He has a good footwork with a quick transfer and release. His ability to hit the ball hard on a line to all fields was impressive.
