Nathan Baeza (2022, Fresno, Calif.) started the semifinal game and turned in a stellar performance to get CBA Marlins to the championship. The long and lean frame has space to make another physical jump and that should only add to the overall profile. Working with a long, loose and whippy arm from a wide three-quarter slot, Baeza was able to get angle to the bottom half of the zone with the fastball (84-87, T88) and set up a tight and later-breaking slider (72-76 MPH). A couple of the sliders really took off in the horizontal break and it seemed like he took a step up when runners got on base. Type of arm that will help a roster at the next level. Uncommitted, high follow.
