Camden Nuckols (2022, Chesterfield, Va.) got the start in the first round of the playoffs for the Virginia Breeze Elite 2022 and the VCU commit was getting it done on both sides of the ball. In the bottom of the first inning, with two on and two outs, he helped his own cause as he crushed the ball well over the left field fence for a three-run home run. Nuckols was locating his fastball on both sides of the plate while topping 87 mph and mixed in a tight breaking ball at 79 with good depth. He finished going four innings with three strikeouts aiding in his team's advancement to the next round.
Alex Bouche (2022, Chesapeake, Va.) is an Old Dominion commit playing for the Virginia Breeze Elite 2022. In the first game of the playoffs, he showed great poise at the plate working the count as he waited for his pitch to hit and didn’t miss. In the bottom of the second inning, with the bases loaded, Bouche broke the game open as he smoked the ball over the center fielder hitting it to dead center, which cleared the bases scoring three runs.
