14u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5

It didn’t seem possible for third baseman Aiden Harris (2024, Midlothian, Va.) to get bigger and stronger than he had already been listed, but the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Virginia commit looks just that, bigger and stronger without sacrificing anything of the traits that had him jump into the top-5 of the 2024 class. Harris wasted little time putting his strength on display as he barreled up a ball very hard, leaving the third baseman little time to react as it went skipping by. What’s more impressive than the life coming off of the barrel was how he got to it, making a noticeable adjustment mid-swing with his hands to keep them back just a hair longer before letting the barrel fly to pick up the single. He’s also showed nice knowledge of the zone, laying off balls in the dirt while never truly chasing, but he did again show his supreme strength with a deep fly out at the Hoover Met Stadium that sent the center fielder back onto the warning track dirt, just shy of the 402’ mark. Harris isn’t a bat only though as he showed over some footwork and athleticism on a charge play in which he dropped his slot and made the jump throw across the diamond with plenty of carry to get the runner.
