16u BCS Scout Notes: Day 1

Colin Houck (2023, Lilburn, Ga.) displayed a ridiculous offensive performance in day two, going 6-for-7 with two doubles, two triples, and four RBI. Has repeatedly crushed the ball to all fields. Showed really good power to center field with a double and one of his triples clearing the center fielder's head. Pull-side power is also evident in the swing. Simple toe-tap load gathers him into an easy swing with some really good bat speed that makes the ball fly off the bat. Strong, athletic frame. Hit and power tools are strong and still have room to grow. Has also played a solid shortstop displaying smooth mechanics and strong arm across the infield.

Dallas Dale II (2023, Apopka, Fla.) kept swinging the bat well throughout day two. He went 3-for-5 on the day and gathered himself three RBI. Has continued to prove that he can use the whole field as he has crushed the ball to all fields. Up-the-middle approach and has no trouble letting the hands work to backspin line drives the other way. He has shown that he can elevate the ball the other way with some pop too seen in a sac-fly that he hit near the warning track in left field. Good athlete with a really nice left-handed swing. Hands work easily through the zone with some advanced bat speed.
