Wichita Challenge Scout Notes

Tyner Horn (2023, Halstead, Kan.) is 6-foot-1 165 pounds with a lean athletic build and plenty of future physical projection. Fastball primarily in the mid-80s, up to 87 with occasional arm-side run and sinking action when down in the zone. Moves the fastball around the zone well. Curveball has occasional tight rotation with 11/5 type action and plays well off of his fastball. Has a feel for keeping hitters off balance. Impressive athlete with a lot of projection that will receive plenty of interest. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.

Tyler Large (2021, Kansas City, Mo.) is 6-foot-1, 195 pounds and has a well-proportioned athletic body and room for added physical strength.  Has an all-fields, line-drive approach at the plate with quickness and present strength in swing. Gets the barrel to the ball often on pitches in different areas of the strike zone. Quick first step in the outfield allows him to cover some ground to both sides, developing outfield routes to the ball. Throws have online carry with accuracy. Committed to Nicholls State University.
