John Jordan (2025, Ocean Springs, Miss.) impressed in all facets of the game this week but made probably the loudest impact on the mound, going 10 1/3 innings over the first four days of the tournament, striking out nine and allowing no runs. The young right-hander ran his fastball up to 83 mph in both outings with the ability to pound the zone as he walked only two batters the whole tournament. The breaking ball Jordan showed as his primary off-speed has good depth in the 67-69 mph range, but he showed a slider as well in the low-70s that has the makings of a second quality breaking ball. At the plate he finished the week hitting over .300 with five hits and an on base percentage of .500.
