ATLANTA, Ga. -- The 2021 Perfect Game North Atlanta Open, featuring 273 teams and 11 different age divisions, will be held from May 21-23, centered at the East Cobb Baseball facilities and the surrounding ballparks in the northern Atlanta area.

East Cobb’s state-of-the-art eight-field complex is designed to accommodate games tailored to athletes that span a decade of ages. Among this tournament’s field, and distinguished by age class, are 9u (13 teams), 10u (8 teams), 11u (24 teams), 12u (29 teams), 13u (57 teams), 14u (40 teams), 15u (45 teams), 16u (30 teams), 17u (19 teams) and 18u (8 teams).

Athletes from eight different states, spanning Florida to New Jersey, will participate in the weekend activities, with the majority (251 teams) being from Georgia. Pool play competition begins on Friday and runs through Saturday afternoon, leaving way to bracket play that commences Sunday afternoon.

Among the strongest teams in the upperclassmen division are the East Cobb Astros 17u squad, composed of the seven highest-ranked players in the tournament’s 2022 class, who are poised to make a deep run come Sunday.

Among the Astros’ roster are Termarr Johnson (No. 4 overall, SS), Kaden Martin (No. 35 overall, OF), Alvin Keels (No. 45 overall, SS), Sullivan Brackin (No. 85 overall, RHP), Jett Williams (No. 113 overall SS), Caden Spivey (No. 215 overall, RHP) and Robert Evans (No. 242 overall, LHP).

Other class of 2022 stand-outs include 643 DP Cougars 16u Pedraza’s Kameron Douglas (No. 368 overall, OF) and East Cobb Astros 17u Navy’s Tysen Benford (t-500, 1B) and Lukas Farris (t-500, 1B), who will look to counter their heavily-loaded East Cobb foes.

Despite a plethora of talent in this year’s junior class, 2021 graduate and PG All-American Thaddeus Ector, a South Carolina commit (No. 68 overall, OF), is also rostered for the orange and blue of the East Cobb Astros.

The tournament’s younger ranks feature several 2023 prospects with a chance to perform on a large stage. The East Cobb Astros 17u team also carries Tayshaun Walton (No. 6 overall, OF), who is the top-ranked player in the state of Virginia, and who has already secured a college commitment to play for the University of Miami.

643 DP 16u Pedraza also lists several rising juniors in Jeffrey Heuer (No. 274 overall, RHP) and Paul Farley (No. 335 overall, RHP), who will have a chance to showcase their abilities on the mound against older competition.

To date, the North Atlanta Open is the largest Perfect Game core event in Georgia in 2021, and is the largest event of the year to include upperclassmen divisions outside of high school competition.
