Six of NorCal’s best 13U Elite teams came together at historic Billy Hebert Field in Stockton, Calif. for this weekend’s tournament and showed that the talent in Northern California is going to continue to be strong for the 2025 and 2026 class of players. Hype Baseball took home the title in a nail-biter over La Morinda Arsenal with a 9-8 victory in the championship game as both teams worked their way back for it.
Adriel Buenrostro (2025, Berkeley, Calif.) stood out from the left side, hitting in the middle of the lineup all weekend and creating easy pull-side lift for multiple extra-base hits. On the mound, he started game one with a loose mid three-quarters arm and showing some projection on the hill. Fastball (63-66/68 mph) was heavy and able to get to both sides of the plate, setting up a strong changeup (50-54 mph) and short 11/5 curveball (53-55 mph). The frame is still young and has space to keep firming up.
