Week 9 featured two top-10 matchups with a lot of back and forth as the SEC was on full display all weekend long. Vanderbilt came out on top of Tennessee, while Mississippi State defeated Ole Miss, in a pair of series that needed the rubber match on Sunday to be decided. It’s clear all four teams are top-10 caliber given the intensity and competitiveness of each series, as the conference winner will truly be battle tested.

Arkansas remains at No. 1 after defeating Texas A&M while Texas remains at No. 2 after downing Abilene Christian. The challenges are just starting for the Longhorns as they have Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and TCU coming up for the next three weeks. Louisville climbs to No. 3 while Mississippi State climbs to No. 4 and East Carolina remains at No. 5 following the postponement of its series.

Vanderbilt jumps to No. 6 while Texas Tech is at No. 7, South Carolina at No. 8, Notre Dame at No. 9, and Tennessee settles at No. 10. Enough can’t be said about the job that Link Jarrett and Notre Dame have done this year as they have yet to lose a series and are right in the thick of things both in terms of winning the ACC and hosting a regional. There are no new teams in the Top 25 this week but that doesn’t mean the shakeups are through. Be sure to stay tuned to perfectgame.org as we will continue our coverage throughout the season.
