SANFORD, Fla. – A month ago, TBT National White and Florida Burn 13U Navy played for the championship of the 13U Florida Select. The Florida Burn won 3-2 in a very well-played game. Just over a month later, the two powerhouse programs ran it back in the 13U East Spring Opener. Both lineups are deep and talented from top to bottom and this time around, the offenses shined.

TBT National White would bounce back, taking the tournament title with a final score of 9-6.

TBT scored a robust 71 runs during the undefeated seven-game run on the weekend to bash their way to a championship. In the final game, they connected on nine hits and also worked six walks to score those nine runs. Justice Dejong (2025, New York, N.Y.) pounded out two hits, including a double and accounted for five RBI. As much damage as Dejong handled by himself, he got plenty of help from his teammates. Dylan Dubovik (2025, Coral Springs, Fla.) added two hits, which were both triples, and added two runs and two walks. Jonathan Matos (2025, Cocoa, Fla.) also added a double and Bubba Coleman (2026, Tolleson, Ariz.) scored three runs from his leadoff spot. Leo Marrero (2026. Wauchula, Fla.) worked his way through five innings, giving up only a single run whiles striking out three. That gave the offense plenty of time to put the game out of reach. It was an absolutely dominant tournament for TBT, with so many players on the roster chipping in.

The Burn came into the championship game with a perfect 6-0 record. The top two hitters in the Burn lineup did all they could to win the championship. Aiden Arnett (2026, Stoughton, Wisc.) and Chandler Dantzler (2025, Jacksonville, Fla.) both went 3-for-4 on the afternoon, with Dantzler barreling a double. It was another great run for this group.

It would be no surprise to continue to see both these organizations continue to make deep playoff runs during the remainder of the 2021 season.
