12u Tourney All-American Team

In a year in which baseball wasn't played around the entire country due to COVID-19, there were still plenty of standouts during the 2020 circuit. Taking precautions throughout the summer and fall, there were a number of players that stood out in a big way. We take a look back at the top performers at PG events with our annual PG Tournament All-Americans by age group, as we feature our 12U players today. Of the players who are on our first and second teams, 12 of them took part in the inaugural Perfect Game 12U Select Festival this past year, cementing their names as a prominent prospects moving forward. 

Jansyel Otwell led the way with 14 all-tournament selections, followed by Pitcher of the Year Joseph Mittiga with 13 and the trio of Brock Bradley, Ryder Register and Hudson Reed with 12. 



12U Player of the Year Andrew Petrock put together an impressive offensive campaign in 2020, hitting .511 to go along with 20 home runs and 53 runs batted in. The athletic 2026 graduate also swiped 31 bags along the way, while achieving an eye-popping 2.018 OPS. The tremendous upside doesn’t just stop with the bat, as Petrock struck out 60 hitters in 37 innings to go with a 1.08 WHIP. 

The aforementioned Joseph Mittiga takes home Pitcher of the Year honors after compiling a 3-1 record in 2020, working 67 innings throughout the season. The young right-hander struck out 68 hitters along the way, walking just 17 en route to taking home three Most Valuable Pitcher awards. A consistent performer throughout the season, Mittiga garnered a lofty 13 all-tournament selections and showed the willingness to take the ball whenever needed.
