Top 100 Third Year Prospects

Brian Sakowski      Vincent Cervino
Top 50 Fourth-Plus Year Prospects

In a normal, non-COVID January, we would have been heading into the college baseball season ranking the players who make up the sport by class. Top seniors, top juniors, so on and so forth. With the newfound eligibility that every player in the country received given this global pandemic, we had to adjust ever so slightly.

So, rather than ranking by class and trying to decipher exactly who was considered a senior, or a COVID-senior, or a redshirt junior, or a super duper double redshirt sophomore, or whatever the designations have become, we’ve decided to use the trusty high school graduation year as our guide and rank from there.

So, the parameters are simple. Over the next several days, you’ll see four lists coming out, including this one. We start with players who are in their third year of college today. This list is made up players who graduated from high school in 2018, tomorrow will be players who graduated from high school in 2019, and so on. We think it gets the point across.

As it pertains to the draft, all of the players ranked today are draft-eligible, obviously. We hope this approach is clear enough.
