15u South World Series Scout Notes: Day 1

Easton Ballard (2023, Longview, TX) twirled a brilliant three-hitter for 5 Star Performance 15U Texas as his club cruised to a relatively easy 6-1 victory over HPBA. The sophomore to be at Spring Hill HS, pounded the strike zone for six solid innings, allowing only one earned run, while striking out eight and walking one. The 6-1, 185 pound southpaw shows great poise and polish and is an accomplished command and control pitcher. His easy and uncomplicated mechanics are easily repeated, as the long armed lefty throws consistently down the slope.



In mid-morning action, a solid Canes Southwest 2023-Barras team bested a top-flight Alamo Drillers Premier Futures club that is playing two levels above their 13U status. The Drillers are an outstanding club and deserve to be recognized for their sound fundamental play and tremendous competitive spirit. They will be a force to be reckoned in the years to come.
