Joaquin Monque (2020, Weston, FL) was impressive on both sides of the ball throughout the event for North East Baseball, picking up barrels throughout and holding it down behind the dish. Offensively, the profile is a big one with a college ready body that produces plenty of strength at contact and well struck line drives to all parts of the field, including two bombs that got out in a hurry. Behind the dish, the makings are loud with athleticism in the lower half that allows him to move quick laterally and receive well while using quick transfers and a strong arm to control the run game. Overall, the makeup is loud and with the offensive abilities he shows as a backstop, the impact could be huge at USF if he transitions to the next level well.
