Danny Durkin (2021, Orland Park, Ill.) was one of the more impressive uncommitted arms on Friday as the right-hander showcased a repeatable delivery and the ability to command the fastball to all four quadrants. Durkin sat 82-85mph with the heater, running it up to 87mph at times. Durkin has developing feel to spin a low 70s curveball, generating the best 11-5 shape and depth when on time and out front with the hand. The changeup at 76mph allows for scouts to dream of a solid three-pitch mix in the future as well. With a compact and athletic frame, Durkin has the arm speed from an extended three-quarter slot to make a velocity jump in the next 12 months, and already uses what lower half strength he does have well.
