As we inch closer and closer to the postseason it's becoming more and more obvious of the clear divide between the teams ranked at the top and everyone else. Nine of the teams ranked in the Top 10 all won their weekend series, most in very convincing fashion. No. 1 UCLA went 4-0 on the week while No. 2 Vanderbilt beat Missouri, and Louisville in their midweek contest. The Commodores in fact moved ahead of UCLA in the RPI ratings with their three wins over ranked opponents.

No. 3 Stanford, No. 4 Arkansas and No. 5 Mississippi State also won convincingly. Arkansas and Mississippi State added serious cases to their already strong hosting resumes by knocking off ranked LSU and Ole Miss teams, respectively. Louisville went 1-3 on the week but remain in the Top 10, falling four spots in rankings.

Where things remain muddled is in the middle of the Top 25 as North Carolina joined Louisville, LSU and Ole Miss among the weekend's losing ranked teams. For as much as the top 10-12 Regional hosts seemed locked in, there are still several spots still very much up in the air with one week remaining during the regular season.

Michigan lost to Indiana, in Ann Arbor, and falls out of the Top 25 for the second time this year as a result. Taking their place is another Big Ten team, Illinois, who swept Purdue, beat Indiana a week ago and have the highest RPI of any Big Ten team despite their current fifth-place ranking in the conference. Illinois' season-long resume, not surprisingly, is the strongest of any of the B1G teams.

Congratulations to Navy and Army for advancing to the Patriot League championship series with semifinal series wins this weekend. The MEAC and SWAC conference tournaments will also take place this week, meaning next Monday we'll have three automatic bids already determined.
