JUCO Top 25: April 23 | Top 300 JUCO Prospects

We're coming down the various stretches in JUCO baseball across the country, with several conference titles in hand, regional playoff races either finalized or close to it and a general playoff feel surrounding the game. Wabash Valley, riding a 42-game winning streak, sits atop the rankings again this week at 44-1 overall. They have a big series with No. 12 John A. Logan, which we'll be in attendance at. Walters State used a 3-1 week to jump Northwest Florida State at the No. 2 spot. NWFL clinched the Panhandle Conference regular season title last week, then dropped a couple games this week, so they fall to No. 3 for the first time this season ahead of the regional battle about to take place in Florida.

McLennan jumped one spot up to No. 4, as did LSU-Eunice to No. 5 and San Joaquin Delta – the No. 1 seed in the NorCal regional starting this week – to No. 6. Wallace-Dothan tumbled a few spots following a series split with Chattahoochee Valley, while Iowa Western and Southern Nevada each rise one spot this week to Nos. 8 and 9, respectively. Johnson County rounds out the top 10 at No. 10 following a series split with No. 15 Cowley.

The craziness that was Arizona JUCO this season has left us with four teams standing in Cochise, South Mountain, Yavapai and Central Arizona, who used a late-season surge to sneak into the No. 4 spot out there. Cochise will host CAC while South Mountain hosts Yavapai in the first round of the playoffs. Jefferson rejoins the rankings this week at No. 19 as they've been as hot as anyone at 45-8 overall, including a 27-game winning streak.

The regionals start in California this week, with San Joaquin Delta, Feather River, Santa Rosa and Sacramento City representing the top four seeds in the North, with Orange Coast, El Camino, Riverside and Glendale taking those top four seeds in the South. Southern Nevada has a huge series this weekend with Salt Lake in what is one of the top series' of the week.

Rankings are based on games through Sunday, April 28.
