Gabriel Esquivel

One of the louder rounds of batting practice along with one of the stronger arms in the infield belonged to Chipola commit Gabriel Esquivel. He creates leverage to his swing and produced jump off of his barrel to al parts of the field. He uses the strength present on his frame well both at the plate and across the diamond.
Josh Gray
OF - 2019 - Jacksonville, FL
Tallahassee CC
Gray has stood out at multiple showcase this fall including this past weekend. The lefthanded hitting outfielder is a physical presence at the plate and his is able to get the barrel to the baseball in batting practice as well as in game. The Tallahassee CC commit has lots of bat speed and natural leverage with good foot speed as well that produced a 6.86 second 60 yard dash.
Michael Convery
1B - 2019 - Roswell, GA
Reinhardt University
Convery does an excellent job producing elite bat speed when he swings the bat. The tools are very loud with the bat especially when he gets fully extended through contact. There is natural leverage to his path and he consistently made the ball jump throughout his round of batting practice.
Kyle Potthoff
RHP - 2019 - Chesterfield, MO
Rutgers
Certainly an intriguing uncommitted righthanded arm who made the trip to Georgia from Missouri, Potthoff boasts a large frame standing at 6-foot-5, 190-pounds and a fastball up to 88 mph. The big righty has feel for four offerings and was not afraid to throw and of his pitches in any count.
Matthew Siverling
LHP - 2019 - Matthews, NC
Virginia Tech
Siverling had a nice outing on the mound over the weekend locating all three of his for strikes and topping out at 85 mph with his fastball. The lefthander throws with minimal effort and a compact delivery. The Virginia Tech commit projects for more as he continues to fill out physically and features a pair of solid secondary pitches in his curveball and low-70s changeup.
Brady Boyle
OF - 2019 - San Antonio, TX
Clarendon College
Boyle has a very loose stroke and fluidity to both his hands as well as his overall swing path. He repeatedly lined the baseball to his pull side connecting the barrel of the bat to the ball out in front. He also showed solid actions both at his primary outfield position as well his secondary first base position.
Bryce Bulls
OF - 2019 - Buford, GA
South Carolina Aiken
Bulls put up good showcase numbers both in the 60 yard dash as well as from the outfield. The switch hitting outfielder has lots of athleticism with arm strength that topped out at 89 mph from the outfield. He ran a 6.86 second 60 and projects well physically as well as swinging the bat.
Demirez Grier
SS - 2019 - Tyrone, GA
Faulkner University
Grier showed off his versatility again this past weekend by packing a punch in terms of speed with a 6.75 second recorded 60-yard dash time. The uncommitted prospect showed off the versatility by throwing in the low-80s from both the outfield and infield. There is loft to the swing plane and it projects nicely moving forward.
Jake DeLeo
OF - 2020 - Norwalk, CT
Georgia Tech
The Villanova commit was a revelation this weekend, announcing his presence right away by topping the outfield velocity charts at 91 mph. The Connecticut native has lots of wiry strength and quick twitch athleticism, he ran a 6.6 second 60-yard dash, and has loud hitting tools. He generates a lot of bat speed with tremendous drive from his lower half to leverage the ball nicely and create home run power.
Poncho Ruiz
C - 2020 - San Diego, CA
San Diego State
Ruiz certainly looks the part of a big league hitter when he steps in the box and the results off the barrel were very impressive. The California native has tremendous strength through his wrists and the ball jumps off with carry and power to all fields. He's not just a hitter as he posted one of the better pop times and arm strength numbers behind the dish as well.
Chase Allen
RHP - 2020 - Littleton, CO
Michigan
Allen put forth a dominant performance during his three inning stint where he struck out a majority of the hitters he faced and ran his fastball up to 85 mph. The righthander is 6-foot-5 with plenty of room to fill out while he pounded the zone with 85-88 mph bowling balls while mixing in a short, tight breaker in the mid-70s with good shape, power, and projection.
Samuel Tackett
SS - 2020 - Lexington, KY
Virginia Tech
Tackett offers an exciting all-around skill set as one of the top uncommitted 2020 prospects showed there isn't a lot that he cannot do on a baseball field. The Kentucky native threw 90+ from both the outfield and infield, showing off his arm speed and athleticism while taking one of the better rounds of BP with a direct, lofted swing path featuring plenty of bat speed and lift off the barrel.
Hunter Cramer
SS - 2020 - Conroe, TX
Northwest Mississippi CC
Cramer has a lot of components and ingredients that bode well for him moving forward and it's easy to see why Arkansas wanted to lock him up as a part of their loaded 2020 class. Cramer has very fast hands with a swing that he repeats and gets on plane nicely. The frame is going to hold a lot of strength for increased pop at the plate and he also showed two-way potential on the bump.
Michael Gemma
RHP - 2020 - Milton, MA
Northeastern
Rarely do underclassmen have true wipeout breaking balls but Gemma might be one of those few as his mix of fastball-slider was deadly over the weekend. Gemma has a very clean arm stroke with a fluid, low effort delivery, and absolutely baffled hitters with his upper-70s, sharp breaking slider. Gemma also worked up to 86 mph with more velocity in the tank as well.
Robert Barrientos
C - 2020 - Pennsauken, NJ
Old Dominion
An Old Dominion commit, Barrientos has proved himself to be a superb defensive prospect behind the dish with flexibility, athleticism, and quick actions overall. He posted the top catcher pop time of 1.81 seconds and showed off a smooth swing that allows him to work to all fields. The New Jersey native had a strong weekend all the way around and has a lot to like moving forward.
Andrew Bergeron
OF - 2020 - Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
Georgetown
Bergeron combines lots of athleticism to his ideal 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame with arm strength and a present hit tool. From his primary outfield position, he topped out at 90 mph and took a solid round of batting practice. His swing path is a bit long but he is able to provide strength to contact looking to lift the baseball.
Spencer Borgel
LHP - 2020 - Powder Springs, GA
Mercer
Borgel was one of the more high-upside prospects in attendance this weekend with a quick lefthanded arm that topped out at 87 mph, and has been up to 90 mph at PG events this fall. Borgel has very good feel for both of his secondary pitches, a sharp slider in the upper-70s and a fading changeup that neutralizes rightanded hitters.
Caleb Marmo
OF - 2020 - Johnson City, TN
Wake Forest
Marmo has had a very strong year at PG showcases and this weekend showed that his tools are as sharp as ever with a 6.66 second 60-yard dash time and an 89 mph arm from the outfield. The lefthanded swing is quick and Marmo's present collection of impressive tools with his speed and arm strength make him a very intriguing, still-uncommitted prospect.
Riley Sinclair
RHP - 2020 - Camas, WA
Seattle
A Washington native, Sinclair showed a lot of intriguing tools with definite two-way potential at the next level as he succeeded both on the mound and in the batter's box. Sinclair worked the strike zone nicely with very polished mechanics and showed a good feel for his changeup as well. While in the box Sinclair had a power-oriented approach with a positive launch angle and strength through the point of extension.
Jay Allmer
RHP - 2020 - Cary, NC
UNC-Asheville
Allmer checks a lot of boxes that recruiters are looking for out of a young righthanded pitching prospect with a projectable 6-foot-4 frame and a lively fastball that he ran up to 86 mph over the weekend. Allmer attacked hitters with his fastball that worked in the low-to-mid-90s and flashed a true 12/6 curveball that he could land for strikes.
Jaylen Paden
RHP - 2020 - Lilburn, GA
Georgia Southern
A Gardner-Webb commit, Paden has lots of arm strength and that helps him succeed almost anywhere on a baseball field. He topped out at 88 mph from the outfield with a loose whippy arm stroke, but showed off his quick arm and range from his primary position of the middle infield. Paden offers some two-way potential on the mound but shows good present gap-to-gap strength and quickness to his hands in the box.
Jason Miller
SS - 2020 - Atlanta, GA
East Georgia College
Miller is a high-motor, extremely fast-twitched uncommitted prospect as he turned in one of the top 60-yard dash times of the showcase with a time of 6.66 seconds. Miller works very well in the infield too with fluid actions, sure hands, and a clean release. The bat projects well moving forward with components present in the swing to like.
Mack Williams
OF - 2020 - Columbus, GA
South Georgia College
Williams showed off a very well-rounded skill set, succeeding at virtually every task that he undertook on a baseball field over the weekend. The uncommitted outfielder ran a sub-7.0 second 60-yard dash while throwing up to 87 mph from the outfield and showing off some impact juice at the dish. Williams also has some two-way potential with solid tools on the mound.
Austin Stracener
SS - 2021 - New Braunfels, TX
Texas A&M
Texas A&M commit Austin Stracener has impressed throughout the summer circuit and did so as well during the PG Fall Top Prospect Showcase. The primary shortstop from the Lonestar State has smooth actions in the infield as well as tremendous arm strength up to 93 across the diamond. The lefthanded hitter has a fluid stroke as well and flashed two-way potential with a clean delivery on the mound topping out at 87 mph.
Jack Spyke
C - 2021 - Lawrenceville, GA
Winthrop
Another local product who really stood out at the event was physical catcher Jack Spyke. The righthanded hitting backstop did nothing but mash all weekend long both in batting practice as well as in game action. Spyke worked the baseball primarily to the opposite field with showcasing very quick hands to the baseball as well as a ton of strength at impact.
Logan McGuire
RHP - 2021 - Acworth, GA
Georgia Tech
Top 2021 pitcher at the event over the weekend was local product Logan McGuire. The Cincinnati commit has an ultra quick arm and the ability to run his fastball up to 89 mph. McGuire overpowered hitters during his outing on Sunday and although the command was not completely there, the projection of both the frame and overall stuff are intriguing.
Alex Johnson
C - 2021 - Montgomery, AL
Martin Methodist College
Johnson impressed mostly behind the plate with his overall arm strength and his ability to receive the baseball cleanly. That arm strength was taken into outfield drills as well where he topped out at 91 mph from his secondary position. At the plate Johnson used a downhill swing plane to work the baseball from gap to gap during his round of batting practice.
Cyle Phelan
LHP - 2021 - Fuquay Varina, NC
UNC-Wilmington
Phelan flashed the ability to mix pitch speeds as well as locate four pitches for strikes. His fastball topped out at 85 mph with late life while creating good angle when down in the strike zone. The uncommitted lefthander from North Carolina was very impressive on the mound and showed nice overall composure.
Coleman Willis
RHP - 2021 - Warner Robins, GA
Georgia
Willis was another arm who put together an impressive outing on the mound. The tall and lean righthander maintained his velocity in the 82-85 mph range creating a steep downhill angle to the plate. The ball comes from a compact arm action as he hides the ball well in the back.
Yoel Tejeda Jr
OF - 2022 - Davie, FL
Florida
One of the more projectable prospects of the entire event, Tejeda Jr. is a threat at the plate and is only going to improve as he gets stronger. The lefthanded hitter has a loose swing with the ability to work from gap to gap. He is only going to continue to develop physically and the pop as well as the overall swing path project very well.
Matt Little
C - 2022 - Santa Ana, CA
Uncommitted
Little provided the most projectable catch and throw ability of any catcher in the 2022 class over the weekend. Traveling from California to Georgia, Little provided some of the quickest movements out of his crouch as well as clean transfer and low pop time (1.97 seconds).
Gavin Black
C - 2022 - Bogart, GA
Mississippi State/Florida Southwestern State College
Black has improved quickly over the course of the past year and on the mound his fastball reached as high as 82 mph with good command to either side of the plate. The righthander is able to get downhill working with a longer arm action and nice overall feel for the strike zone. Black has plenty of arm strength and will likely continue to throw harder in due time.
