2018 Fall Instructional League Program Information

BJ Fish
This is a quick stop to find answers to many questions regarding the Fall Instructional League. We have outlined some of the most asked questions below. This list will be updated as more questions arise.

I may have to miss the camp on Saturday due to schedule conflict. Can I still compete in the games on Sunday? Vice Versa?
- Yes, missing the camp on Saturday will not effect your ability to play in the games on Sunday. It is entirely acceptable if you have to miss Sunday games due to conflicts as well. If you have to miss the games on Sunday, please let BJ Fish know at bjfish@perfectgame.org.

What kind of bats are allowed in the league and camp?
- Like all of our HS level events in the country, we will be using wood bats for this event. We will allow metal bats at the camp, however, please be prepared with a wood bat for league games.

Will these games have a time or inning limit?
- We will be enforcing a 2 HR time or 7 inning limit for each game. This will ensure that people from across the state can get home at a decent time.

Will there be any make up dates if we miss a weekend for any reason?
- Yes, we will have make up weekends tacked onto the weekends following the end of the season. Weather updates can be found on the league twitter @pgfallleague or on the league page.

How will batting order be determined?
- We will have a continuous batting order from lowest number to highest number. At the end of each week we will start where we left off the week before as to get equal # of at bats.

What position will I play? Will I get enough opportunities at my primary position?
- We will do everything in our power to get each player an equal amount of opportunity on the field. Each player's primary position will be considered when coaches put in starting lineups and substitutions each week. There will be times where people will be playing out of position. This must happen to get everyone an equal amount of playing time.

What is the attire for camp on Saturday and for games on Sunday?
- Please bring comfortable practice attire for the camp on Saturday. Make sure to pack baseball pants and a comfortable shirt. Wear baseball shoes but bring a pair of tennis shoes as well if we need to go indoors. Saturdays games you will be expected to wear you game shirt and cap with baseball pants.
