Nebraska
Darin Erstad enters his seventh season as the Huskers’ head coach and his program has been to three Regionals in the last four years. This club will be led by seniors Luis Alvarado, Scott Schreiber and Jake Hohansee. Hohansee made 14 starts last season and he will be critical for a rotation that must replace Jake Meyers and Derek Burkamper.
In what is a great sign for the Nebraska program, both Alvarado (Mariners, 13th round) and Schreiber (Rays, 26th round) were drafted last June but elected to return for their senior seasons. Alvarado was one of the better two-way players in the Big Ten in 2017 and he led Nebraska with 10 saves. Schreiber led the Huskers in hitting last year and he may be the best run producer in the league.
