Perfect Game/Rawlings Player of the Year: James Outman (Sacramento State)
Perfect Game/Rawlings Team of the Year: Charlottesville Tom Sox (Valley League)

With another season of summer collegiate baseball behind us it's time to look at some of the standouts from the numerous leagues scattered across the country. As with every year, it's no easy task whittling down the names, as there are a lot more deserving players that didn't make the cut.

There are three 2017 Perfect Game/Rawlings Summer Collegiate All-America teams listed below as well as an Honorable Mention squad. In addition to one player at each infield position (including catcher) each team also has a designated hitter – which is a way to recognize some of the better hitters that otherwise may have missed the cut – three outfielders, five starters, two relievers and two utility players.

Similar to past years both the Cape Cod and Northwoods League lead the way in the total number of representatives with eight players each, with the West Coast (6) and Coastal Plain (5) Leagues just behind. The Cape has the most first teamers with four.

The leagues that follow include the California (4), Great West (4), Prospect (4), Cal Ripken (3), New England (3), Southern California (3), Golden State (3), Valley (3), Great Lakes (2), Perfect Game (2) and Texas (2) leagues. The Alaska, Atlantic, Futures, Hamptons, Jayhawk, M.I.N.K., New York, South Florida and Southern collegiate leagues all had one each.

Michigan State (Bailey Peterson, Taylor Grace), Mississippi (Parker Caracci, Ryan Rolison), North Carolina (Tyler Baum, Austin Bergner), North Florida (Brad Deppermann, Eddie Miller), Oklahoma State (Colin Simpson, Reid Morgan) and Stanford (Kris Bubic, Nico Hoerner) all had multiple players represented. Both Baum and Bergner were Perfect Game All-Americans in 2015, as was Dominic Fletcher.

Perfect Game will start to unveil the league-by-league top prospect lists in the coming days. Once the lists are released, the corresponding league reports will follow.
