The Astros posted an almost unbelievable run differential of 52-4 over the course of the tournament. The list of their top offensive contributors runs far too long to mention everyone, but Ira Jeffries and Tyler McGuire delivered seven and six hits respectively with both of them collecting six RBI and runs scored.

Jake Hembree started and earned the win for the Astros in the championship game with two shutout innings on the mound while striking out four batters. Jason Walk also tossed a pair of shutout innings with four strikeouts of his own in their pool play game.

12u Champions: East Cobb Academy Colt 45’s

The Colt 45’s entered the playoffs undefeated and remained that way throughout the tournament posting a 4-0 record en route to winning the 12u One Day Showdown division. In their championship game they topped the 6-4-3 DP Tigers 8-0 in five innings. Their offensive catalyst was Sutton Smith who collected six hits, including three homers, a pair of doubles, five RBI and six runs scored.

Earning the win in their championship matchup against the Tigers was Thaddeus Ector who pitched a commanding four shutout innings allowing just one hit and a pair of walks while striking out six batters. The Colt 45’s pitchers as a staff allowed a mere four earned runs over their 20 innings played.

Returning to LakePoint after their One Day Showdown #1 championship just a week ago, eXposure came out and earned a second straight trophy and bragging rights over the field. eXposure rallied after dropping their first game to come back and sweep the next three, capping it with a 9-8 win over the Home Plate Chilidogs – Carnazzo. The team was led offensively by Cooper Kinney who delivered seven hits in 10 at-bats (with a pair of extra-base hits), two RBI and four runs scored.

Starting for them in their quarterfinal game was Kaleb Valdez who tossed an impressive five inning perfect game and recording nine strikeouts. Valdez did so tossing only 54 pitches in five innings, proving to be incredibly efficient.
