Perfect Game Super25 Headquarters is excited to announce the second year of its' PG Super25 Vs. Cancer campaign.  After raising a total of $23,659 in 2014, the Super25 Staff is honored to continue its' partnership with the Vs. Cancer Foundation and make an even greater impact in 2015.

The Vs. Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts.  The PG Super25 Vs. Cancer campaign provides a platform for all travel baseball organizations and teams to made a difference this summer and join the fight against childhood cancer.

Chase Jones, a stage-4 brain cancer survivor, founded Vs. Cancer with the goal of providing every child the resources and support that he received to help beat this terrible disease.  In 2014 alone, the Vs. Cancer Foundation directly impacted 40,617 children with cancer.  With the help of organizations such as Perfect Game, Jones believes this number will grow over the next year and beyond.

"The idea that a baseball team could rally around helping out children with cancer blew up to the point that we were trying to give every athlete that we worked with a platform to help out other kids," Jones said. "Perfect Game is an unbelievable organization believing that the game of baseball can be much bigger than just a sport and can act as an avenue to help out the next child."

PG Super25 National Director, Drake Browne, is thrilled for the opportunity to work with Chase and Vs. Cancer for the third straight year.

"During my senior year at Furman University, our team hosted a Vs. Cancer event and it was a huge success," Browne said.  "Not only was I able to see how much potential we have as athletes to make a difference for those battling cancer, but after meeting Chase and seeing what he was doing with Vs. Cancer, I knew it was something I wanted to be involved with.  It's incredible to see Chase's passion and dedication at work, I'm honored to call him my friend, and I know that we will be able to do huge things through the Super25 Vs. Cancer campaign."

While details are still being finalized, the campaign will include a competition to see which team or organization is able to raise the most money in 2015.  All teams will be able to create their own fundraising pages, with additional pages available for any players or parents that wish to join the cause.  Browne and other PG staff members will also be joining the fundraising efforts by creating their own pages.

Last season, the Tri-State Arsenal led the charge by raising $4,310.  Rhino Baseball, Baseball U, and NOLA Baseball also made a major contribution, raising over $2,500 each.  Browne and Jones are encouraged by this success but they have even higher hopes for 2015.  Along with spreading the word to teams across the entire country, they are working on ways to make it easy on teams to get involved and to help them raise money.

Jones said, "This summer, every team has the chance to directly impact the next child with cancer."
