Red vs White Game Highlights

8/1/2021

Jared Eckstein (2023 RHP, Cincinnati, OH) Displayed quality bat speed with the ability to generated easy carry to the gaps when squared. Collected three hits in game action including a triple to deep center field.

Derek Fleming (2025 1B, Loveland, OH) Showed a compact barrel plane to contact with good extension through the zone. Doubled in his second at bat o the game.

Nick Lewis (2024 C, Cincinnati, OH) Displayed good feel for the barrel while working the ball to all fields. Collected three base hits in three trips to the plate.

Josh Woods (2024 RHP, Columbus, OH) Utilized a balanced, simple approach at the plate with a linear barrel plane. Consistently produced sharp contact of the barrel picking up two base hits. 

Andrew Schneeman (2023 SS, Mt. Orab, OH) Showed quick hands through the zone with the ability to generated barrel whip at contact. Worked to each outfield gap picking up two base hits. 

Sean Walters (2023 OF, Wilmington, OH) Stays balanced throughout his swing while creating good leverage at contact. Picked up two base hits.

Hewitt Wilt (2024 LHP, Geneva, OH) Showed a knack for fining the barrel with a simple, repeatable line drive barrel plane. Picked up three hits in game action.

Michael Gawkins (2023 1B, Mason, OH) Kept hands inside the baseball well and showed the ability to work to all field. Picked up two hits to the opposite field including a double.

Caiden Yorn (2022 C, Milan, IN) Generated quality bat speed through the zone and threw the barrel to contact with intent. Doubled sharply to left field in his first at bat of the day.

Cole Pleiman (2022 1B, Clarksville, OH) Utilized a quick, line drive barrel plane with solid strength at contact. Consistently generated loud contact pickin gup two hits in game action.

Rodney Rachel (2023 OF, Cincinati, OH) Impressed throughout the game showing a smooth, easy swing with easy power. Picked up three hits in game action including two triples. 

Wyatt Colvin (2024 RHP, Prospect, KY) Displayed good bat speed through the zone with solid hand strength at contact. Consistently generated loud, hard contact off the barrel picking up three base hits.

Brady Hunt (2023 C, Wichita, KS) Utilized a line drive barrel plane and displayed good balance throughout his swing. Primarily looked to work the middle of the field picking up two base hits.

Clay Mitchell (2022 3B, Canton, OH) Threw barrel head to contact with authority producing good whip through extension. Pick up two base hits including a double to deep left field.


Black vs. Columbia Blue Highlights

Zeke Marasco (2023 OF, Loveland, OH): Marasco jumped all over a center-cut fastball and absolutely hammered it up the left-center gap for a double, then immediately showed his instincts by taking an unoccupied 3rd base before scoring on a wild pitch. 

Daniel Brayton (2022 RHP, West Harrison, IN): Brayton has big arm talent, working up to 85 mph repeatedly with excellent sinking life. He overpowers hitters with his fastball and mixes in a curveball, slider, and knuckler as well. 

Tyner Horn (2023 RHP, Halstead, KS): Horn had a loud two-way day yesterday and continued swinging a hot bat today, hammering a double way over the center fielder's head for a double, showing off electric bat speed and real strength in his wrists. 

Connor Munro (2023 RHP, Liberty Township, OH): Munro has an athletic delivery with a quick arm, working up to 82 mph on the mound with good feel for his slider, missing bats with both to the tune of 6 strikeouts in 3 frames. 

Brady O’Malley (2025 C, Laporte, IN): O'Malley has a compact and quick stroke that covers the plate well, and he picked up a couple knocks in this one showing his ability to spray hard contact and use the whole field. 

Steven Wood (2023 OF, Northville, MI): Wood has a lot of offensive projection to his game with bat speed and leverage in his swing, and he showed that late in this one by smoking a liner up the pull gap for a double and RBI. 


Batting Practice Highlights

7/31/2021

Will Lafferty (2023 SS, Inez, KY): Lafferty has good bat speed with a clean path to his stroke, consistently getting the barrel out front on time and driving the ball on a line with projectable power. 

Steven Wood (2023 OF, Northville, MI): Wood has a very projectable frame with the swing and bat speed necessary to project big power, and his power upside is vast. 

Ben Brosch (2022 1B, Batavia, OH): Brosch gets the barrel moving and turned and shows off his bat speed in the process, generating good jump off the barrel and really projecting for big power as he gets into his legs more. 

Tyler Huff (2023 C, Loveland, OH): Huff creates good leverage off of his front side with the bat speed to do damage, showing consistent hard liners to all fields with room to fill remaining on his frame. 

Daniel Brayton (2022 RHP, West Harrison, IN): Brayton is primarily a pitcher but showed off good hitting tools, showing good bat speed with a lofted path that really projects for big power as he continues to mature. 

Reece Killion (2022 C, Paris, TN): Killion swings it hard with intent to do damage and is able to, getting the barrel out front with leverage and big power to the pull-side, with easy HR carry in that direction. 

Peyton Ganda (2025 C, Medina, OH): Ganda has a simple, hittable approach with a repeatable swing, showing good barrel control with a controlled stroke and consistent line drive contact with a whole-field approach. 

Jake Martin (2023 C, St. Clair Shores, MI): Martin creates good leverage and is able to lift the ball, and with his bat speed and projectable strength it's easy to envision him with big power at maturity. 

Sean Walters (2023 OF, Wilmington, OH): Walters generates good torque in his lower half and brings his hips with authority, adding strength to his already good bat speed with consistently strong results. 

Rodney Rachel (2023 OF, Cincinati, OH): Rachel has huge offensive tools, with an excellent bat speed/strength combination that produces big power to the pull-side, showing easy HR carry with projection for big time whole-field power. 

Jared Eckstein (2023 RHP, Cincinnati, OH): Eckstein has loose hands at the plate with a whippy bat and good present strength, showing pull-side impact and a consistent, repeatable stroke during his round. 

Austin Morrison (2024 RHP, Canton, OH): Morrison has impressive strength for his age, showing the ability to hammer baseballs when on time, and his barrel accuracy will continue to improve as he matures.


Red vs. White Highlights

7/31/2021

Jared Eckstein (2023 RHP, Cincinnati, OH): Eckstein showed well as a two-way player, running his fastball up to 85 mph on the bump with a pair of promising offspeeds and also adding a double at the plate, continuing his good swings from what was a good BP round earlier. 

Brady Hunt (2023 C, Wichita, KS): Hunt picked up a pair of knocks in this game, showing good feel for moving the barrel around the zone and employing a whole-field, simple approach at the plate. 

Clay Mitchell (2022 3B, Canton, OH): Mitchell showed good bat speed and a compact stroke, picking up two hits in this game and showing the ability to get the barrel out front and drive baseballs with authority on a line. 

Rodney Rachel (2023 OF, Cincinnati, OH): Rachel has huge bat speed and physicality and showed off both, smoking a triple up the pull-side gap and hammering a single over the 3B's head later on. The offensive tools are vast and his power upside is prodigious. 

Michael Gawkins (2023 1B, Mason, OH): Gawkins dropped the head on a fastball and smoked a double up the right-center field gap, putting that natural strength on display. He finished up with a two-hit day, including that double. 

Finn Ellis (2023 C, Montgomery, OH): Ellis has good strength and bat speed and showed both off in this one, whistling a double pull-side and picking up a second knock later in game. He has intriguing offensive tools that project. 

Tate Queen (2025 1B, Portsmouth, OH): Queen has advanced strength for his age and is able to drive the ball when on time, picking up a double in this game that showed off that strength with good jump off the barrel.

Tyner Horn (2023 RHP, Halstead, KS) Displayed a very quick arm through extension that produced heavy actions with his fastball up to 88 mph. Also created sharp, late depth with an 11/5 curveball. Horn works three innings striking out ten batters. Also impressed at the plate showing good feel for the barrel with a knack fro creating hard contact. Picked up two hits in game action including a triple to the left center field gap. 

Davis Beale (2023 RHP, Paducah, KY) Released from a compact three-quarters arms slot and produced good sink with a fastball that topped at 82 mph. Consistently challenged hitters and induced weaker contact. Flashed good feel for his breaking ball as well in the upper 60's.

Tyler Blankenship (2025 2B, Ashville, OH) Utilized a balanced approach at the plate with a line drive barrel plane. Consistently put together good at bats collecting two base hits in game action. 

Chase Burton (2023 OF, Brookville, IN) Showed quick hands through the zone with the ability to turn the barrel to contact with intent. Doubled sharply to the left center field gap in his second at bat of the game. 

Tyler Huff (2023 C, Loveland, OH) Displayed good strength at contact with the ability to created easy carry to the gaps when squared. Stayed on pitch well on a hard hit triple to the right cetner field gap in his last at bat of the game.

Travis Paryaski (2022 LHP, Southfield, MI) Impressed offensively showing a smooth, naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Consistently produced hard contact off the barrel picking up two base hits.
