Michael Masini is a 2026 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-7 190 lb. frame from Gig Harbor, WA who attends Gig Harbor. Tall, well built frame with room to still fill out. Primary infielder that moves well for the size, footwork directly to the baseball, if he gets to the spot the mechanics are fundamentally sound fielding the ball out front with softer hands. Clean transition to throw, a little too long at times and shows fringe average arm strength with accuracy. Hit from a slightly open stance with toe tap timing. Drops the hands and takes a level cut through the zone, some hand speed and enough feel for the barrel to drive the baseball. Improved timing at the plate will help him get to the natural leverage he can create in his swing. Plenty of projection here going forward. On the mound shows some drop and drive mechanics with a three-quarter arm slot and shorter arm action. A lot to get in sync for the age on the mound. Fastball was in the low 70's with some sink and also showed a 11-5 shape curve with shorter depth. Again a frame that is intriguing and will obviously develop skill wise over time. Great student.
