2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Isaac Jose Carrasquillo Sola is a 2025 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends BYOU Academy. Medium, athletic build with present strength in the frame. Good runner, ran a 6.95 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, has a bounce to the actions, gets the glove down early and works through with one hand on the side, full arm swing to a higher release point. Throws come out of the hand well, long hopped and accurate throws recorded up to 85 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, chest high leg lift to balance, slight drop and drive lower half mechanics, arm works well to a three-quarters slot. Athletic with the ability to repeat, got the fastball up to 81 mph (1767 RPM). Showed a changeup with good fade in the mid-70s and a bigger shaped curveball in the upper-60s. Also worked out at first base, gets the glove down early, fundamentally sound actions around the bag. Same arm strength we saw in the outfield here, recorded throws up to 86 mph with developing accuracy. Left-handed hitter, medium and even base with the hands set high in the stance, has nice whip to the hands and controls the barrel well. Got the barrel extended at times and showed impact to the middle of the field. Great student. Named to 2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
