Evan Matile is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Denver, NC who attends East Lincoln. Large frame with a lean build showing plenty of room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 8.01 second sixty yard dash. Primary Left-Handed Pitcher, stayed under control in his actions as he proved he could repeat his actions. Fluid arm stroke as he generated some whip. Released from an angled three-quarter slot that created natural deception. Pounded the strike zone with a two pitch mix. Fastball up to 69 mph while showcasing he can work both sides of the dish. Mixed in a breaking ball showing vertical drop that he also showed good command of. Second breaking ball shown with more sweep to it in in the low-60's. Comfortable on the mound and trusted his stuff as he went right after hitters. Secondary First Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he does a good job keeping it in front of him. Deep gather in the stance and then works into transfers. Accurate around the bag with throws as he proved to show some feel for the position. Secondary Outfielder, short strides to the baseball as he slows down into a two handed out front gather. Transfers the baseball and then looked to carry throws to target. Threw it 67 mph during drills. Left-Handed Hitter, starting even in his stance with high hands. Fires hips and then gets the bat horizontal before it enters the hitting zone. Proved he could leverage the baseball and drive it. Pull-side pop showing during his round.
