Ben Orr is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Durant, IA who attends Durant. Recorded a 7.25 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame, thick and sturdy build with present strength. Primary third baseman with some twitch and quickness to his actions, is a bit segmented at present but gets the job done and can make the routine plays. Clean round overall, flashed good carry across the diamond at 77 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, throws from three-quarters arm slot and the fastball has occasional arm side run. Tries to locate to both sides of the plate, flashed a curveball with 11-5 shape and developing bite. Was around the zone with all his pitches, will continue to refine the quality of his strikes. Left-handed hitter with an open stance and wide base. High hand and back elbow set, utilizes a leg lift trigger and has a lofted stroke. Creates lift to both sides of the field, shows a pull side approach but has the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field as well. Ball shows good jump off the barrel when on time and squared. Front side will fly open at times when he over-rotates, aggressive swing with quick hands and present bat speed. Good student.
