Andrew Sauceda is a 2024 C/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Archbishop Mitty. Medium height with a slender frame and easy room to bulk. Ran a 7.61 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, starts square in the comfortable set. Gains ground with his footwork and stays balanced through a consistent release. A right-handed hitter, starts with a balanced and slightly open base with a higher hand set. Knee to knee lower half load and uses a good sequence from the ground up with a whippy barrel through the zone. Looks to extend and pull the baseball. A secondary pitcher, higher leg lift with balance at the top. Uses a full arm circle and high 3/4 release with a fastball that gets some downward plane. Four pitches for strikes with a good difference between the slider and curveball action. Tons of strikes working mostly to the outer half. Excellent student.
