Jace Ellis is a 2024 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from High Hill, MO who attends Montgomery Co.. Recorded a 7.30 second sixty-yard dash time. Broad, well-proportioned frame with some lower half strength and plenty of room to physically mature. Primary outfielder with deliberate, elongated actions into and through the fielding process. Fields cleanly off his front foot, uses extra steps to generate momentum into release and tends to not get over his front side while throwing. Produced online, accurate throws up to 79 mph during drills. Secondary third baseman with similar deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process. Showed limited lateral range to either side but has good reactions and fields cleanly out in-front. Showed ability to throw accurately across the diamond and recorded arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a low hand set, high back elbow and hanging leg lift trigger. Hands driven swing with drift onto front side, incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and displayed developing bat-to-ball skills. Downward swing plane with best contact to the opposite field. Displayed occasional impact when on-time, will improve with proper adjustments and additional strength. Developing, young prospect with plenty of time to make proper mechanical adjustments and add strength. Excellent Student.
