Darin Osterloh is a 2024 SS/2B with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Winchester, CA who attends Chaparral. Smaller frame with some present athleticism. Ran a 7.62 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with quick feet and short strides to the ball, feet work well into the overall approach, some slight stiffness to the glove but has overall feel to receive at different angles with a compact arm action on throws across. Right-handed hitter, sets up open with high hands and a high back elbow using a hanging leg lift trigger for timing. Uses a short and simple swing to find the barrel at a consistent rate, works solely to the pull side at present and will improve overall results as strength is added with development.
