2020 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase
Brett Stuessel is a 2021 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Sparta, WI who attends Sparta. He ran a 7.34 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a medium athletic build. In the outfield he shows action that project well as he moves well to the ball and through it, carries his momentum nicely into his throws with some carry and will get better when the shoulders stay on line. On the mound he showed a quick arm as well as a quick tempo, worked up in the zone with his fastball in the 79-82 mph range and worked ahead of hitters consistently. Also landed a curveball in the upper 60's with some depth s he repeated his arm stroke and delivery nicely. At the plate he starts even from the left side, coils slightly into his load as he worked best to the pull side and turned that into a double in game action as he has a solid feel for his approach at the plate. Named to the 2020 Great Lakes Prospects Showcase Top Prospects List. Very good student.
