Travis Gentry is a 2022 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Shirley, AR who attends West Side. Medium to large build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary first baseman, stays in front of the ball well and glove works well to both sides. Solid arm, showcases accuracy to all bags even when working off of the bag. Keeps his mechanics simple, knocks the ball down. On the mound has a shorter arm action from an over the top slot. Some deception to his hitchy over the top slot. Conventional motion overall, fastball up to 75 mph, flashes occasional cutting actions. Mixes in a 55 mph curveball with an 11-to-5 to 12-to-6 shape. At the plate, uses an upright and slightly open stance with a simple stride trigger. Hands work down through the zone, a bit of an in and out barrel path. At his best when working through the middle of the field.
