Jake Cummins is a 2022 SS/ with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Orland Park, IL who attends Carl Sandburg. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with solid footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions at pick up and worked through exchange efficiently. Released from a lower three-quarters arm slot showing developing carry and accuracy to the bag at 70 mph. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and leg lift trigger. Direct hand path to baseball and showed good feel for the zone while employing a line drive plane through extension. Consistently generated solid contact off the barrel while creating line drives to the middle of the field.
