Gabe Dunn is a 2022 RHP/C with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Pinehurst, TX who attends Magnolia. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs; lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, leg lift up to belt slight cave on backside in gather in gather; compact arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Front side opens early at times but helps create subtle cut action to fastball, topped out at 76 mph and stays off barrels well. Pitches to contact and gets on top of ball well, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into drive don mound. Tight release, curveball shows 12-6 shape and can bury pitch in dirt, up to 69 mph with the pitch. Higher set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, gets tall out of crouch, can gain additional ground with footwork, creates plane on throws and shows accuracy down to second base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Stays on line with lower half through swing, shorter path to the ball with a full finish through point of contact, gets to front side early at times in swing, looks to lift and elevate the ball out front.
