Josh Cone is a 2022 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Out-Of-Door Academy. Large frame with a highly projectable build. Primary left-handed pitcher, only pitched at this event. Clean delivery with some polish mechanically, engages his lower half well in driving down the mound and repeats well to throw strikes. Works from a lower slot with good arm speed, generates good running life to the fastball in the mid-80s, pounds the zone with it and shows two quality secondaries. Changeup is tunneled well off the fastball with good late fade while the curveball sweeps in for some swing-and-miss, especially against right-handed hitters. Quality pitch ability left-hander that projects well. Good student.
