Mason Brenchak is a 2020 OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Seymour, CT who attends Notre Dame High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill throughout, has present strength. ran a 5.21 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows nice energy moving towards the ball and works through it well with lower half, gains good ground and momentum into lower half, very short and compact arm action and release, remains upright when throwing and occasionally gets under the ball at release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short stride in lower half to shift weight. Works with a short stroke through the zone and stays compact with mechanics, works inside the baseball and can continue to create extension out front. Looks to lift the ball at point of contact, showed nice jump off the barrel with some rising line drive contact when squared and on time. Very good student.
