Tyler Jenkins is a 2025 1B/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Pendleton, SC who attends West Oak. Lean build with proportioned strength that can hold more muscle. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, has clean hands out front with a two hand gather, funnels well into the body, made accurate throws across the diamond as well as making the turn to second, feet work well for the position. Secondary right-handed pitcher, middle rubber setup, side step with hands over head delivery, high waist leg light to short arm circle in the back with a low three-quarters release. In-line down the slope, ran the fastball up to 70-mph and mixed in a rolling mid 50's curveball with developing spin. Right-handed hitter, has an even and square base with a high hand and back elbow set, gets the foot down and separates early, direct and simple stroke that produced some liners to both gaps. Good understanding of the barrel and made consistent contact with extension. Solid frame to add onto can increase strength that will allow the overall package to play up, fundamental base is in place to work with. Outstanding student.
