Ryan Astorga is a 2027 RHP with a long, lean 6-1 155 lb. frame from Meridian, ID who attends Owyhee. Started of the event clocking an 8.05 60-yard dash. A primary pitcher that plays first base as well. Astorga features a 2-pitch mix (FB, CB) and works out of the stretch exclusively. Was able to get over both offerings for strikes. Struck out 3 in 3-innings of work allowing 1-hit. Defensively, he showed the ability to work around the bag efficiently. Double play feeds were accurate and worked through the ball fielding a bunt cleanly. At the plate Astorga employed a pull approach barreling up and driving the ball in the gaps at time. Added strength will enhance his skillset.
