Tye Livesay is a 2024 C/RHP/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Charleston, SC who attends Bishop England. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.43 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has a flexible lower half and sets up well behind the plate, showed a compact exchange and release, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength. Also played the infield and showed solid third base type actions there, fields the ball confidently and gets into his lower half well throwing. Right handed hitter, hits from a relaxed open stance with a hard shift into contact, drops his head into his swing and changes his eye position, short inside swing path, has some barrel accuracy and works the ball around the field. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with simple leg raise mechanics. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with heavy arm side sink. Curveball was a solid second pitch for him with good spin and depth, maintained his arm speed well on a change up but lowered his arm slot into release. Elite level student.
