Francis Whitemore is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 6-2 197 lb. frame from Branchville, NJ who attends High Point Regional. Large, athletic build with long levers and well-proportioned strength throughout his frame. 7.61-second runner during the sixty. Primary first baseman, fields out in front with a deep funnel, displaying deliberate footwork as he played through the ball. Moved well around the bag, showing a strong feel for the position, just continuing to develop foot speed. Accurate on his throws to the bases, up to 74 mph. Right-handed hitter, sets up with an even, balanced stance, and a high-hand set. Utilizes a toe-tap trigger to engage his lower half, getting rotational at times as he spun out of his legs. Barrel worked short through the zone with developing feel for the barrel. Flashed some impact to the pull side during live action. Excellent student.
