David Hosch is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Peosta, IA who attends Western Dubuque. He has a medium frame with an athletic build and tons of room to fill. Ran the 40-Yard Dash in 5.61 seconds. Primary catcher that has a taller stance and jumps out towards second base on his throws. He has a clean transfer and has an uphill throwing motion. He can take some time off of his pop time by staying low and finishing through his throws with his lower half. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide base with bend in his knees that is slightly open. He also has an even hand placement with a low back elbow. He uses a reverse stride for timing and has a rotational swing. He has an up the middle approach and does a nice job of making line drive contact with his flat bat path. Very good student.
