Kevin Defrank is a 2024 RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Arroyo Hondo, SD. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength to frame. Right-handed pitcher, side step moving into a leg lift up to belt, works to a lower slot at release with some effort. Fastball topped out at 82 mph and maintained velocity throughout, creates sinking life on the pitch through the zone given release and shows comfort working to his arm side. Replicates slot on release of changeup well up to 75 mph with short fading life; sweeping finish to curveball through the zone up to 73 mph and able to miss some bbats with it in this look, can bury low in the zone too. Three pitches from similar slot for strikes. Excellent student.
